St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church
St. John's Staff Team

St. John's is a church that is growing in a very different way from most growing churches.  It is a small community of 200 people that spends most of its time together.  Unlike most growing churches we do not split up the generations, but work as an extended family to learn and to worship together.  It is an informal community that in 2005 had people worshiping together from many nations.  We discovered our community was born in 23 different countries.  Worship reflects west-coast culture and Anglical/Catholic traditions, although a third of our new-comers have come from other traditions, and an additional third of our new-comers are new to the Christian church.

St. John's Mission Statement

Do God's Love

St. John's Vision

St. John's is an intergenerational community
of Christians committed to
proclaiming, through word and action, the grace
and love that
God has for his people.

This action is set in a family environment where
worship, pastoral care, teaching and the
celebration of life
strives to interpret tradition, belief and values, in
our present Canadian context.
