Sunday School

On Sunday mornings during our 10:00am service, St. John’s provides a Children and Youth Ministry for children aged 3 thru 15.  After a short Children and Youth Time, children leave the Sanctuary for approximately 40 minutes, and are engaged in a variety of activities including discussion, crafts, singing and worship, in age-appropriate groups, with one or more of our Children’s Ministry volunteers.  Parents are welcome to accompany their children, or remain in the Sanctuary.  Everyone returns to the Sanctuary before the end of the worship service, to receive communion or a blessing with their family.

Sunday School

We use Seasons of the Spirit, published by Woodlake Books, as our basic curriculum.

When possible, children are integrated into the ongoing life of the community, including: periodic participation in the 10:00am worship service acting as readers, leading prayers and presenting skits on biblical themes; and visiting church member Care Home residents with our Community Ministry volunteers.

Children and youth are welcome to participate in our Children’s Ministry every Sunday whether they are new, regular attendees, or visitors.

Our Sunday Children and Youth Ministry runs from the second week in September to the third week in June.
