Some of our regular programs have taken a break for the Summer and will return in the Fall: Hot Senior’s Lunch will return October 12, 2018. QMFL Wednesday afternoon program will return in October 3 2018. QMFL Thursday Program will return October 4, 2018.


Blessing of the Pets will be Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 1:00pm. Bring your pet for this annual celebration in honour of St. Francis, a great lover of nature and animals. We're inviting all our furry and feathered friends for a special blessing. They will also receive a Certificate of Blessing. All are invited! Animals large and small are welcome; please be sure they are leashed or in carriers. St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, 220 West 8th Street North Vancouver 604-986-1151. Open to People and Pets of All Faiths. Donate used blankets or towels for the Animal Shelter or food for Harvest Project. Parking at 13th & Chesterfield with over flow parking available at Queen Mary Elementary School.

Cafe Church Join us on the first Saturday of every month for another year of engaging topics with coffee, tea, and music, as well as time for prayer and reflection. The next Cafe Church will be October 6, 2 018 at 300pm, in the downstairs lounge. This month’s speaker is Michelle Lebeau who will be discussing the Queen Mary Family Literacy Program.

Safe Church All those who volunteer at the church are required to take the Safe Church Course, formerly known as the Sexual Misconduct Workshop. There is a workshop coming up on Saturday, September 29, at St Agnes' Anglican Church, 530 East 12th Street, North Vancouver the class will run from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Please register as soon as possible by calling 604 987-0432 or send an email to brendajstenson@gmail.com Please be aware that if it has been 5 years or more since you last took this class, it is time to take it again.

Anglicanism and First Nations Spirituality The reverend Vivian Seegers will be facilitating a discussion exploring the commonalities of First Nations spirituality and Anglicanism. This will take place over four Wednesday evenings; September 19 & 26, and October 3 & 10. It will be held at St. Clements Anglican Church 3400 Institute Road, North Vancouver from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

Vancouver Chamber Music Society presents Cellist Brannon Cho on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Avenue, West Vancouver, at 7:30pm. A Taste of Silence You are invited to set apart a day to refresh, re-create, and recommit to God-centred living in an atmosphere that encourages inner solitude and inner silence. The opportunity for centering prayer in community is a gift in itself. We often experience more profound silence, within which the Spirit connects us in love. Saturday, September 29, 2018. Registration: 9:30 a.m. Refreshments and Connecting in Community. Retreat/Silence: 10:00 am - 3:30 pm. Location: St Mary’s Anglican Church, 2490 West 37th Ave., Vancouver, V6M 1P5 Lunch: A simple lunch with soup and bread will be provided, with some gluten, dairy free and vegetarian options. Program: Centering Prayer in community. Personal retreat time and space. Labyrinth available, Lectio Divina. The focus of the day will be on our individual and personal relationship with God.
