Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. John's,
For the past number of years, we have ended our traditional Christmas Eve service with the singing of "Silent Night", during which we turn off the church lights and light our own candles. I have always found this to be a very moving moment; it's a fantastic way to end the service and welcome the new Christ child.
So, I have an idea that is I hope a nice alternative. I have organized a Zoom get together where we will virtually do the same thing. We will listen to and sing "Silent Night". As the hymn starts we will turn our lights off and light our own candle. I will record this and then put it into the Christmas Eve service.
It is happening tonight, Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00pm. I don't think it would take very long; just a few minutes of your time. If you would like to join me in this, please email me and let me know. I will then give you the Zoom information. I do hope can join us and take part. Thank you!
