Dear Parishioners,

I am sure many of you have heard, but this past Thursday The Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, issued a new Provincial Health Order to try to stem the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in our region.  A part of that order includes places of worship.  Under this order all places of worship are to be closed to in-person services for 28 days starting this past Thursday, November 19.

That means that the scheduled in-person service for Sunday, December 6 at St. John's is now cancelled.  We will of course continue to offer the recorded Sunday services every week.  We will also be recording the Lessons and Carol service and the two Christmas Eve services we would normally do.

I regret for the time being we will not be able to offer in-person services, but we must all do our very best to flatten the curve of transmission of this disease in our region once again.  Let us at St. John's continue to pray for all front line workers and for the speedy release of a safe and effective vaccine.

If you would like a copy of Archbishop Melissa's statement, please click here.

I will of course continue to pray for you all, that you are safe and taking good care of yourself.  Please feel free to contact me at any time should you wish more information or would just like to talk.  Many Blessings to you all.

Peace, Patrick
