Quote Of The Week

Each week I will choose a spiritual and inspiring quote and publish it in this section.  I will also add a comment on why I think it is a good quote.  If you have any suggestions please pass them along to me.  I hope you enjoy this feature.

I think we sometimes underestimate the importance and power of laughter in our spiritual journey.  Humour, as Niebuhr suggests, should be a stepping stone on our path of faith because opens us up to the possibility of awe and joy.  Then laughter helps liberate our body, mind and soul so that we may be our natural, fully human selves as we begin to communicate with God.  I will be preaching on the importance of laughter in our spiritual lives this week.  The Rev.
