Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner/Lunch

Saturday, October 17th, 12 noon or Saturday, October 17th, 5:30 pm

Come dine out with mystery guests at this year’s Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner/Lunch on Saturday, October 17th. Parishioners are invited to either host a delicious home cooked meal in their home or sign up as a guest to attend, bringing either an appetizer or dessert. The guests will not know where they are going and the hosts will not know who is coming. This is a fun way to get to know some of the people you see at church every week. It is guaranteed to be a fun-filled afternoon/evening and a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to join you! Attendance is by donation and the funds raised will go towards updating the exterior signage around the church. We will be also asking if you can drive others to the lunch/dinner. Mark the date in your calendar and sign up sheets will be coming to the Welcome Table at Sunday Coffee Hour in September.  

How it Works Parishioners sign up to be either a host or a guest for the lunch or dinner. Deadline for signing up is Sunday, October 11th.  

Hosts:

- determine how many people they can host for lunch or dinner

- if they can accommodate children

- if their home is are accessible (elevator)

- are responsible for supplying the main course and drinks.

- will receive an email or phone call on October 11th confirming the number of guests.  

Guests:

- tell us how many are in their party

- if there are children

- if there are allergies or special dietary needs

- if there are accessibility issues (ie cannot go up stairs)

- are responsible for bringing an appetizer or dessert

- Will receive an email or phone call on October 11th confirming what they are to bring (appetizer or dessert) and who will be picking them up if a ride is needed.

- Drivers will receive a call/email with the address of their lunch/dinner location on October 16th and contact information for the people they are picking up (if applicable). The meal location is kept secret from the guests until they arrive!
