Candlemas & Deacon Sunday

February 1st is Deacon Sunday in the Diocese of New Westminster. Our own Deacon, the Rev. Shawn Bullock will be preaching that day on the distinctive ministry of deacons, who are called to serve in both the church and out in the world.

We will also be marking Candlemas that is celebrated on February 2nd, 40 days after Christmas and is the end of the Christmas season. It marks the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. Candles will be blessed for parishioners to take home  as symbols of Christ as the light of the world.
