Ash Wednesday is on February 18th and is the first day of Lent in the Christian calendar.  Ashes made from last year's palm crosses are blessed and used to make crosses on people's foreheads using the words "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return."  You are welcome to join any of the following regional services for Ash Wednesday:

9:30am St. Catherine's:  Imposition of Ashes
12:30pm St. Agnes: Imposition of Ashes
2:30 pm Edgemont Village: Ashes to Go (Weather permitting Rev. Sarah & Rev. Shawn)
6:30 pm St. Catherine's: Service of Holy Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes
7:00 pm St. Clement's: Service of Holy Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes

The season of Lent lasts for forty days (not including Sundays) and is a season for reflection, prayer, fasting and giving to charity.  In the weeks ahead, Christians reflect on Jesus' life, and prepare for the journey of Holy Week and Easter.
