Deacon Shawn visits St. Mark's Ocean Park

On May 10, Deacon Shawn was delighted to join Senior Port Chaplain Peter and Father Dara at St Mark's, Ocean Park, in White Rock. At both the 8am and 10am service, in place of a sermon, Fr Dara interviewed Dcn Shawn and Rev Peter about their work in Mission to Seafarers, and about the ways in which parishes can help. Dcn Shawn was able to bring greetings from St John's and news of our recent "Jean's Box" initiative. Similarly, the Youth Group at St. Mark's had recently concluded a "Socks for Seafarers" drive. It was a good morning of conversations and fellowship, aimed at raising awareness of seafarers and all the work they do for us.
