In Memorium - Chris Gilbert

December 25 1926 - June 26, 2026

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our dear sister in Christ, Rosina "Chris" Gilbert, just six months short of her 100th birthday.  Chris was a long time member of St. John's and a dear friend to everyone in the community.  Chris died peacefully in her sleep on Friday June 26, 2026.

Chris was devoted to her family and friends, and to the parish of St. John's. She was young at heart, and still sang along with and danced to the music of ABBA well into her 90s. Chris was a gifted storyteller, pulling from her experiences as a nurse and as a mother to keep audiences mesmerized. Her joyful spirit will be greatly missed.
