The 7th Sunday of Easter, May 17th, 2026, is Jerusalem and the Holy Land Sunday: In 2013, the General Synod designated this as "Jerusalem and the Holy Land Sunday" in solidarity with the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.

The Most Reverend Shane Parker, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, wrote a letter from Canadian Anglicans to the Primate of Jerusalem and the Middle East.

"This year, as we mark the Seventh Sunday of Easter, designated in the Anglican Church of Canada as Jerusalem and the Holy Land Sunday, we are deeply conscious of the horrific violence and other hardships faced across the region by Christians, those of other faiths and the Palestinian community as a whole. "

Archbishop John Stephens wrote, "On May 17, I encourage you to pray for Jerusalem and the Holy Land. I encourage you to learn more about the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem. I encourage you to consider Jesus’ words of “Blessed are the Peacemakers” in your own life as we all seek an end to the violence."
