Dear Parishioners,
You have been asking "What is happening with Jill?"  This is top of mind as we transition into having Georgina and Shawn as our ordained clergy during Patrick's medical leave. We are all very grateful to Jill for faithfully volunteering on Sundays as liturgical assistant and occasional preacher for many years. She has also led the service several times, without the eucharist, at the last minute which has been great. Her calm and cheerful presence especially over the past few months of Patrick's medical leave has been much appreciated.  Going forward, her role will be changing as Shawn steps into the role of Deacon alongside Georgina. Jill is currently classmates with Shawn at VST and she really supports him coming to St. John's. Jill has her own journey ahead in discerning the next steps in her work, studies and placements to become an Anglican priest; at some point she will be placed in a different parish. She has met with the Church Wardens and with Archbishop John and Archdeacon Nick this past week. She will be sharing more with us on her journey as it unfolds.  For now Jill is happy to call St. John's her church home.
Faithfully,
Alison & Kathryn
